Scrummy Stash Cafe - Paper weaving

Vanessa set a great class with paper weaving on the SSC blog this Saturday, and as I'd never done it before (well not since I was at Primary school!!) I thought I'd had a go. I'm pleased with the end result, and I did enjoy it, but don't think I'd do it again in a hurry - a bit too time consuming for me. I am the world's most impatient person and I like quick results!!

The papers and ribbon I've used are from a HOTP Personal Shopper kit and the epoxy stickers are from The Paper Studio.

CPS #75 & Papertake Cool Yule!

Papertake's challenge this week was to make a Christmas card, which is great as I'm trying to do this for most of the challenges I enter to get a bit ahead this year!

I've used this week's CPS sketch for the layout.

Papers are KI Memories, tag is K&Co Peppermint twist, and some Felt fusion.

Friday sketchers #12

Here's my take on the latest sketch from Friday sketchers. I've decided to make xmas cards for most of the challenges I do from now on as my Mum wants at least 100 - and I've got far too many other cards knocking around now!!

For this one I've used Dovecraft papers, HOTP cardstock embossed with a Cuttlebug folder, a Doodlebug snowman sticker and a Bo Bunny rub on.

Papertake sketch

Papertake also had one of Katharina's wonderful sketches this week, and I really loved this one! The background paper is 3 bugs in a rug blossom, scalloped paper is Making Memories from a journalling notebook and stamp is Penny Black.

Spoonful of Sugar #9

This wee Spoonful of Sugar had one of Katharina's fab sketches - and here's my take on it, using Nellie holding flower, HOTP papers and prima flowers.

CPS #74

Decided to make a Christmas card with this week's CPS sketch - totally unheard of for me to think about Christmas in July usually, but I'm attempting to organise myself! LOL

The papers are HOTP, as are the Poinsettias and big brad, ribbon is Papermania, greeting stamp is A Muse.

Tilda & Co #29

This week's Tilda & Co theme was "A bug's life!" so I dug out my Magnolia bees and teamed them up with Edwin sitting on a wall. Everything else on the card is from a HOTP Personal Shopper kit.

Scrummy Stash Cafe - chipboard

This week's challenge set by the SSC girls was to use chipboard, so I dug out my Fancy Pants biggest board, painted up these gorgeous big flowers and slapped them on a LO!

The papers are a mixture of Crate Paper Blue Hill, Fancy Pants Botanical and Sassafras Sunshine Lollipops.

Cute Card Thursday ~ Friday Sketchers ~ Penny Black Saturday

Here's a 3 in 1 card, using the sketch from Friday sketchers, the Cute Card Thursday theme of no people and the Penny Black Saturday theme of snow.

Snowman stamp is Penny Black (obviously!) and papers and ribbon are Bo Bunny.

Spoonful of Sugar #8

This week's challenge was to make something girly - no probs here then! For these 2 cards I've used Nellie with flower and everything else on the cards is from a HOTP Personal Shopper kit.

Arty Girlz #43

Arty Girlz challenge this week was to do a male themed item, so I've done this LO of my OH as a little 'un using Pencil Lines sketch #92.

I've used my beloved Sassafrass papers and stickers again - this time the Robotics collection, along with some Doodlebug alpha stickers, ribbon, chipboard starts and buttons, a prima arrow stamp and all finished off with some acrylic paint.

Tilda & Co #28 ~ CPS #73

This week's Tilda and Co theme was distressing - and I've used MAMBI papers and stickers and some Rusty Pickle alpha stamps along with plenty of tearing and inking for this card.

The layout of the card is based on this week's fabby CPS sketch.

Scrummy Stash Cafe - Angie's class

Here's my take on Angie's fab class from yesterday - I've used gorgeous Sassafras papers from the My Dearest and Pocketful of Posies collections, some chipboard swirls from Rusty Pickle and some various chipboard shapes covered with paper to substitute the flowers Angie used on her original layout and some thickers for the title.

Thanks for a great class Angie - I love the finished layout!

Arty Girlz #42

Arty Girlz provided a sketch for their latest challenge, and I've used it for this Halloween LO. I've used Rusty Pickle papers from the Addam's family and Boo collections, Rusty Pickle alpha stickers, AMM soft charms and a Karen Foster license plate. Journalling stamp is by Stamps Away.

Penny Black Saturday #5

PBS provided a sketch this week - and here's my take. My Mum asked me to make a retirement card for one of the teachers at the school were she's a Governor, in the school colours of maroon and blue. So I've used some Bazzill bling and some blue Kelly Panacci paper, a Cuttlebug folder, PB stickeroo and a computer printed greeting - all finised off with some blooms!

Friday Sketchers #10

Here's my take on the latest sketch from Friday Sketchers - a really quick card using some Paper Adventures paper and flower sticker, a piece of Bazzill embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and rubbed over with chalk ink, and a Pebbles inc. rub on.

Cute Card Thursday #18

CCT set the challenge today to make a card for a child, and here's what I've come up with. Stamps are from Magnolia, Birthday stamp is Doodlebug and everything else on the card is from a HOTP Personal Shopper kit.

Papertake sketch

This week's Papertake challenge was another one of Katharina's gorgeous sketches - and here's my card, using Basic Grey two scoops papers and a Penny Black stickeroo - nice and quick!

Ismaki #27

Here's my take on the latest sketch from Ismaki, using a Magnolia Tilda stamp and K&Co Classic K Margo papers.

CPS #72

Here's my take on the latest sketch from CPS - it's a bit of a Doodlebug-fest this card! I've used Doodlebug papers, alphabet stickers, paper frills and bazzill cardstock.

Penny Black Saturday #4

Here's my take on the PBS challenge of using buttons and brads. I've use Fancy Pants papers, Doodlebug sentiment stamps, some random buttons and flowers from my stash and some Imaginisce courdroy brads.

Scrummy Stash Cafe - Summer Challenge

The girls over on the SSC blog challenged us to make a summer themed project. Now, as I'm holding a daffodil, I suppose this is technically a spring LO - but it's got flowers on and it's bright so I don't care! LOL

I've used Fancy Pants Botanical papers and rub ons and I glittered the stems of the flowers on the bottom of the paper and added some glittery brads as flower centres.
The photo is rubbish (why did no one take decent pics in the 80s?!) but I wanted to use it as it's so sweet - so I added a ring of gems around me to make it stand out a bit.

Cute Card Thursday #17

This week's CCT theme was "the great outdoors" so I used my Cosmo Cricket hello sunshine papers *again* and new Magnolias to make this cute little card featuring Edwin enjoying the sunshine!

Isamki #26

Here's my take on the fabby sketch from Ismaki this week, using a Magnolia Tilda stamp and Cosmo Cricket hello sunshine papers (definitely my current favourite!!) The sentiment stamp is from Cuddly Buddly.

Friday Sketchers #9

Here's my take on today's sketch from Friday sketchers, I used a Penny Black stickeroo and K&Co Berry Sweet papers - another nice quick one to add to my ever expanding stock pile!

Scrummy Stash Cafe - Vanessa's class

First up - apologies for the dodgy pic - just couldn't seem to get a decent one today!

This is my take on Vanessa's class and I think it has to be my fave so far *no offence to the other girls of course*

The reason it's my fave is because I've picked up new techniques/ideas that I hadn't tried before and will definitely use again, such as tearing the photo *scary* LOL, distressing the edge of paper with scissors and the embroidery thread "tails" on the buttons.

I used Sassafras papers from the My Dearest and Pocketful of Rosies collections, along with plenty of Basic Grey buttons, Doodlebug flower stamps, Stamps Away journalling stamp and a chipboard arrow from TLC.

CPS #71

Here's my take on yet another fabby sketch from CPS this week! This one was soooo quick and simple, a couple of scraps of Doodlebug paper and Bazzill, some Doodlebug ribbon and a Pebbles inc. rub on!

Friday sketcher #7 ~ Papertake ~ Cute Card Thursday #16

Here's my take on the latest Friday Sketchers sketch, and I used the Papertake "thank you" theme (and the option of coffee and cream colours) and the CCT challenge to use no patterned paper.

It didn't end up as much like the sketch as I had anticipated, but I think you get the idea!

I used Bazzill cardstock, embossed with a Cuttlebug folder, High Hopes stamps and all other bits are from my stash.

Penny Black Saturday #3

This week's PBS challenge was a colour challenge - to use Pink, green and brown. I used one of my fave Penny Black stamps for this challenge - and the papers and sentiments are all from the HOTP "Pretty" creative pack.

Tilda & Co #26

Tilda and Co challenge this week was a sketch - and here's my take on it, using Cosmo cricket Jitterbug papers, cream ric rac and a sentiment stamp from Cuddly Buddly.
