Angie's challenge - eyelets

Angie's challenge was to use eyelets, something I don't do too often I must admit! However it was perfect for this photo of me in my leotard and ballet shoes aged 5 - I put the eyelets through the bottom of the scalloped heart, then threaded the ribbon through to look like the ribbons on my ballet shoes!

I've used 3 sheets of Bazzill (plain black, scalloped white and scalloped heart) and the patterned papers are HOTP Bohemian sarapapers. The swirl stamps are also HOTP, journalling stamp is Stamps Away, trims are Rusty Pickle, K&CO Wild saffron brads and surprise, surprise - thickers for the title! LOL

Angie's Class

First up on the SSC Cyber crop schedule today was a fab paper piercing class from Angie.

Now paper piercing is not something I've tried before, and I love trying something new (and I like this as it's quick! LOL).

TOP TIP TIME: Just thought I'd share this - if you don't have a piercing mat, Angie suggested an old mousemat, well I didn't have one of those either - so I used an old pizza box - worked perfectly!!

Anyway, for this LO I've used Fancy Pants Botanical papers, die cuts, ribbons and rub ons, Making Memories velvet alpha stickers and teal tiny ledger stickers and some bazzill bling blossoms.

Off now to start work on Maria's challenge!

Friday sketcher #7 ~ Papertake ~ Cute Card Thursday #16

Here's my take on the latest Friday Sketchers sketch, and I used the Papertake "thank you" theme (and the option of coffee and cream colours) and the CCT challenge to use no patterned paper.

It didn't end up as much like the sketch as I had anticipated, but I think you get the idea!

I used Bazzill cardstock, embossed with a Cuttlebug folder, High Hopes stamps and all other bits are from my stash.

SSC - Wedding Bells

The Scrummy Stash Cafe girls set a Wedding theme this week, so I made this very simple card using Rusty Pickle Princess Bride papers and sticker, some black crochet trim and a Bazzill bling flower.

Arty Girlz & SSC Travel

Both Arty Girlz and the Scrummy Stash Cafe blog had a travel theme this week, so I thought it was high time I scrapped a pic of my lovely shiny motor!

I used Scenic Route Cape Town, Rusty Pickle Mayflower and MM 5th Avenue papers, the title is a mixture of thickers, bazzill chip alpha and poundshop stickers and a mix of chipboard shapes painted with acrylic paint.

CPS #53

Here's my (very) simple take on the latest CPS sketch - using Basic Grey periphery papers, a Bazzill Bling blossom (try saying that quickly 5 times! LOL) and a Pebbles inc. rub on.
