Ismaki #13 and Papertake making waves!

Here's my take on this week's fabby Ismaki sketch, and it also qualifies for this week's Papertake challenge to used scalloped or zig zag edges.

I used my new HOTP Bohemian papers - love these! A magnolia Tilda stamp, some primas and a Bazzill flower, swirl stamps are HOTP and sentiment stamp is Cuddly Buddly.

i{heart}2stamp sketch

Found yet another sketch site through Samm's blog! And here's my take, using AMM papers, Penny Black stamp (my absolute favourite one called "Field of Dreams" - so cute!!) and a trusty pebbles inc. rub on.

CPS #58 & Caardvarks Purple Micro challenge

Here's my take on this week's CPS sketch - with the colour scheme provided by the Caardvarks micro challenge.

I embossed the cardstock with a cuttlebug folder, the flower stamps are Banana Frog, sentiment stamp is HOTP, gems are papermania.
ETA: sorry about the wonky pic!

Tilda & Co Challenge 13 - Mix and Match

This week's Tilda & Co challenge was to mix and match some magnolia stamps to create your own image - what a fab idea! And a great way to get more from your stamps!

For this card I used the body of Edwin holding balloon and added the head of tough Tilda.

The papers and rub ons are Basic Grey Mellow and I added a Bazzill bling blossom and some ribbon.

A productive day yesterday.....

.....3 layouts in 1 day!

This first one is for this week's Scrummy Stash Cafe challenge to use quotes. I dug out an old flair designs vellum quote book I've had for ages and found this rather apt quote. Everything on this page is from the My Mind's Eye Bliss kit from Scrummy Stash Cafe (and I've now completely used it up!)

This second LO uses papers from Crate paper, My Mind's Eye (out and about #2) and Rusty Pickle (Mayflower) and a page from the MM 5th Avenue journalling notebook as well as some ribbon and blooms from a Little Silver hat kit, some crochet trim and blossoms, some felt fusion and a 7 gypsies buckle. For the title I used American crafts chipboard thickers and a Heidi Swapp chipboard alpha.

The last LO used up the last of my My Mind's Eye Out and about #2 kit from Scrummy Stash cafe along with some Penny Black alpha stamps and some cheap foam alpha stickers from the pound shop!

Not bad for a day's work eh?!

Carol's blog candy sketch

I found Carol's blog when she left a comment for me the other day, and I noticed she was running a blog candy challenge - she's giving away some yummy stuff so I had to have a go!

Here's my take on the sketch she gave to work with, using My Minds Eye Out & About #2 papers and an imaginisce stamp.

Di Hickman March #4

Here's my take on Di's latest sketch, using my other Cuddly Buddly stamp, HOTP Icy Rainbow papers and ribbon and a Pebbles Inc. rub on.

Arty Girlz #27 & Cute Card Thursday #3

Cute Card Thursday challenged us to use people this week - so I had to drag out my new Cuddly Buddly stamp Charley again! I also used the Arty Girlz theme of using chocolate and one other colour (pink obviously!!)

Stamps by Cuddly Buddly, cardstock by DCWV (embossed with Cuttlebug embossing folder).

Papertake Sketch Challenge

Yay! My first lot of Cuddly Buddly stamps have arrived! I say first lot, as I know I'll go back for more! LOL

This is Charley - and just how cute is she?! And FINALLY some decent round greetings stamps, that just happened to fit the one circle punch I own (1 1/4 " if your interested!) lucky or what?!

So I had to use them straight away - obvioulsy! So here's my take on the fab sketch from Papertake, using Doodlebug papers and a paper bloom.

CPS # 57

Here's my take on this week's CPS sketch, using Junkitz salsa papers, Doodlebug stamps and jewels and the scallops were cut with the Accent Essentials cartridge.

This week's scrummy stash cafe challenge was to use decorative edges.

For this LO I used the K&Co Wild Saffron range (LOVE these colours!) I cut one of the papers into a scalloped circle using the Accent Essentials cartridge, and also used some DCWV zig zag card.

The foam letters were an absolute bargain from the pound shop - cheaper than Thickers, but look just as good!

Here's my take on this week's Papertake challenge - on the theme of weather!

Arty Girlz - Doodling

Arty Girlz challenged us to do some doodling this week, and rather than play it safe and do faux stitching or a dotty border liked I'd normally do, I was brave and doodled a cute little flower image.

The papers, cardstock and gems are Doodlebug (rather appropriately! LOL) and the Thank You stamp is imaginisce.

Bitten by the bug contest

Thought I'd join in the contest over on the Bitten by the bug blog. The rules were:

. Create a card for a baby (girl or boy) using LIME GREEN and PINK for a girl OR LIME GREEN and BLUE for a boy.
2. Use RIBBON somewhere on the card.
3. Use at least ONE cut from ANY Cricut cartridge.

The papers are Fancy Pants Sweet pea, ribbon is American Crafts, cardstock is HOTP and the sweet baby girl words were cut from the All Mixed up Cartridge.

SSC - Cover girls!

Samm set the challenge over on the Scrummy Stash Cafe blog this week to make a project inspired by a CD cover.

Now, at first I thought - far too much like hard work! LOL But then I thought, stop being lazy woman and get on with it!

Now, since I got my gorgeous pink Ipod, I don't listen to CDs, so I first had to venture into the loft conversion to find one. So I sit there thinking, right where to start - and do you know what? Inspiration just hit me! Each CD is like a little LO sketch - soon I had a notepad and was jotting down tons of covers to use as sketches!

I finally settled on Glamorous by Fergie (one of my fave tracks!) I used the layout of the cover as a sketch for my LO and then took inspiration from the song and the artist by adding plenty of blinging little gems to my LO (and Bazzill bling CS for the title shadow).

Papers are Scrapworks and 3 bugs in a rug, gems are Making Memories and papermania, title cut on expression with Jasmine font.

Tilda & Co - Challenge #11 Hidden Secrets

The latest challenge on the Tilda & Co blog was to include a hidden message on my card, so I included this little pocket, with a bit of happy birthday ribbon attached to the top of the hidden message to pull it in and out.

Tilda stamp (obviously!) and everything else from a HOTP Cardmaker's personal shopper kit.

CPS #56

Here's my take on this week's great sketch from CPS. The black and white paper is Doodlebug, the pink spotty paper is an A Muse pretty little paper and was cut with a Marvy punch. The sentiment stamp is Imaginisce, flowers are prima, gems are Doodlebug.

There is a new challenge blog called Cute card Thursday - which is great as I love all things cute!! The grasses were cut from 2 different cricut cartridges - Plantin Schoolbook and Zooballoo and the alpha stickers are DCWV.

Arty Girlz - stars & Sketch this cards 44

For this card I used the latest sketch from sketch this cards ( I flipped it though) and Arty Girlz challenged us to use stars.

I cut the stars on the expression using the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. The strip of paper is Doodlebug as are the "2U" rub ons. The other rub ons were a pound shop find!

P.S. Arty Girlz is sponsored by our very own Crop til you Drop this week and you could win a fab HOTP cardmakers kit!

The DCM little extra this week was to create a card using one of Mel's favourite things (I chose ribbon) and one of your own (I chose gems).

Card blank from stash, flower stamp by Doodlebug, sentiment stamp HOTP, ribbon by HOTP, gems by papermania.

SSC - foam

Scrummy Stash Cafe challenge this week was to use foam, which tied in nicely with this LO with some gorgeous foam thickers for the title.

As I said previously, I got a huge lot of photos from mum - and these were top of the list to be scrapped - they're hilarious! Easter 1984, me 3 1/2 years old and Nan makes me an easter basket - Dad decides to take photos, but clearly it's too heavy to hold for long judging by the look on my face! LOL
This has to be one of my favourite LOs yet - just on the photos alone!

I used Imaginisce For Peeps Sake papers, foam thickers and MM velvet stickers for the title. The ribbon is MM too and the brads are imaginisce. The scalloped journalling paper is Making memories from the spiral bound notebook, large bloom is heidi swapp, and the chipboard flower in its centre is dovecraft.

CPS #54 - Oh Baby!

Here's my take on the latest CPS challenge - although it doesn't look too much like the sketch now it's finished!

It was also a baby theme this week and I decided to make a unisex baby card. I used American crafts papers, the scalloped square was cut on the expression with the Accent Essentials cartridge and the "baby" comes from the All Mixed Up cartridge.

SSC - buttons

Today's Scrummy Stash Cafe challenge was to use buttons. I must say, not really a challenge for me as I LURVE buttons!

I used my latest little magnolia stamp - Tilda in the wind (and absolute ebay bargain at just over £4!!) Everything except the buttons are from October 2007 HOTP Personal Shopper kit, and the stamp is HOTP too.
