Speed card making

I was asked at work today for two cards - a birthday and a sympathy card, and when did they want them by? Tomorrow! ARGH!

So I finally got in tonight at 8.30 following a meeting and after a quick dinner I managed to churn these 2 out in a little under half an hour - not bad eh?!

I don't like this card!

I made this card today for my mum to give to a woman she works with (who's just had a baby - obviously!!), but I'm not sure I like it, I don't know why, can't put my finger on it - and my mum loved it, but there's just something niggling at me!

On a lighter note - I gave Beverley her card for the May card swap over on ILHOTP and she loved it.

So the moral of the story - I liked one card and didn't like the other, but the recipients both loved their respective cards so I 'spose that's the main thing!

I love my crocs!!

OK, so I've finally finished the LO of my crocs and I'm so pleased with it. Yes, it's a bit weird to scrap your shoes, and yes it may not be to everyone's taste, but the whole point of crafting is to enjoy creating something and enjoying the finished product. What others think of your work is not the most important thing (although I do hope you like it!! LOL)

I also picked up my first lot of design team goodies from Beverley at Crop 'til you Drop so I've got loads of yummy stash to play with (only with the added pressure of creating gorgeous stuff that will inspire people). So I guess what I said above isn't true in this case as the most important thing is that I produce stuff that others DO like!

I've already made 2 cards and 1 ATC, which I'll post up later (if I'm feeling brave!!)
