Di Hickman Card Sketch Jan #4

Can't believe we're at the end of January already! Here's my take on Di's latest sketch - I think this has to be my favourite of the month, this card came together for me so quickly!

I've used Making Memories Garden Party papers - I just adore this scalloped edge one with the daisies on - along with some Prima hydrangeas and some very luxurious velvet ribbon and pearls!

Arty Girlz #69

It's been ages since I did one of the Arty Girlz challenges, but this week my pal Fab is their guest designer, so I made a special effort!

The theme was transparent, so I was going to make an acetate card, until I remembered this cute Making Memories acrylic frames that I've had for ages!

To make this quick card I used Basic Grey Two Scoops paper, prima flowers and an Imaginisce stamp.

CPS Favourite Sketch and Cute Card Thursday #44

This week CPS let us decide on our favourite sketch from 1-99 and that's a lot of sketches to choose from! I decided to use sketch #54, and here's what I came up with - a very simple card using Magnolia stamps, cardstock and a craftwork cards sentiment - no patterned paper in sight!

Here is my original take on sketch 54, which is really different - and that's why I love sketches so much!

I also incorporated this week's Cute Card Thursday theme of "creating a scene".

Papertake - Dawny's Sketch #6

Another fabby sketch from Papertake this week! And here's my take, using Love Elsie Betty papers and MM tiny ledger stickers. For the hearts, I used an old die cut sheet as a template, then backed them onto card for extra strength and dimension.

Di Hickman Card Sketch Jan #2

This is my sketch team card for Di's latest sketch - again I loved this one (I think that's fair to say for all of January's sketches!).

I said in last week's post I was using up scraps at the minute, so this one again features the Fancy Pants Botanical range - I adore the colours in these papers!

Di Hickman Card Sketch Jan #1

Here's my take on Di's latest fabby sketch - I really loved working with this one, so much so that this is the anniversary card I gave to my Mum and Dad.

I've used the Fancy Pants Botanical range - I'm in a real using up phase at the moment, particularly scraps and part sheets - so expect to see a bit of repetition coming up!!

Papertake - Seeing Spots!

This week's Papertake challenge was to use spots, dots or circles, so I dug out these gorgeous paper from Stemma that I've been putting off cutting into for ages! The cute Koala stamp is from High Hopes, as is the matching greeting, and the Happy Birthday rub on is from Letraset. The black velvet ribbon was my bargain buy from Morrisons yesterday, 3 metres for 68p in their Christmas clearance section!

Excuse the dodgy photo - should have put it on a light background so it doesn't look like it's been cut in half!

The papers I've used are from the 3 bugs in a rug Blossom range, rub on from Letraset and sentiment stamp from Cuddly Buddly.
